Mobile Phone Help..
Hi,
I need a phone that I can plug an earpiece into when I am on my bike. It needs to be auto answering, so I don't have to press anything, including the buttons on some earpieces.
I only need it for when I am on the bike, I will just be throwing my sim card in it when needed, so I am looking at a refurb one or a cheap model. I looked at the nokia 6210, but can't get a definate answer on the auto function.
Can anyone give advise on a phone to suit my needs?
Thanks in advance,
Stevie

Cheers for the info. and the quick reply.
I had a quick look on ebay for prices of the w800, going for a lot more than the nokia's. I just want it for occasional use, if I am expecting a call, but I am on my bike.
Thanks

Then firstly you need to go to the nokia website and or speak to their tech support for these answers.
SE T610s / 30's and K750 should all have the same functionality in their profiles.
Good luck mate

Most Nokias have auto-answer. Just checked the *very* basic 6021 I have for work and that has it. I remember things like the 6310i had it also and phones prior to that so i think it's fairly common. You just got to find the settings. On some you don't see the setting until you have something plugged in I seem to remember .....

BUT check the Nokia web site. It has a pdf of the user manual and it says:
================================
Accessory settings
The accessory settings menu is shown only if the phone is or has been connected to one of the
accessories, e.g. headset HDC-9P or handsfree car kit CARK-91.
Press Menu, select Settings and Accessory settings. Select Headset, Handsfree or Loopset. When a
handsfree accessory is connected to the phone for the first time the active profile of the phone is used.
• Select Default profile to select the profile you want to be automatically activated when you
connect the selected accessory. You can select another profile while the accessory is connected.
• Select Automatic answer to set the phone to automatically answer an incoming call after five
seconds. If the Incoming call alert is set to Beep once or Off, automatic answer will not be in use.
================================
So yah boo sucks - I was right ..........
