CarphoneWarehouse - Dazzling Customer Service
Went into CarphoneWarehouse yesterday as I am looking to replace my flagging SE P910i with another smartphone.
The assistant came up to me and said, "Can I help you, are you looking to contract today?"
OK I am happy that he goes for immediate qualification.
Anyway, I reply, " I am having a look for a smartphone and I am interested in what you have available."
His reply will live with me for a long time...
"What's a smartphone?"
I kid you not - I asked him if he was joking - which he wasn't - and then I asked him how he could work in a mobile phone shop and not know what a smartphone is!!!!!!! I then suggested that perhaps he was not in a position to help me!

Furious with that company after they took 4 mths to repair my Nokia - except they didn't repair it, they got it replaced by Nokia after 2 weeks and then mislaid it round the warehouse for 3.5mths. And offered me a grand total of nothing in compensation. I decided they could perch and rotate after that.

I used to work for them years ago..
they have gone seriously downhill in the last 3 years, I have had to email the CEO everytime I needed to get some customer service, as most of the people they employ now are so thick, they can't understand what you are asking them.. actually quite a good tactic, most people give up, and continue to hand over the dosh each month !
