Pub/restaurant recommendation required - M40 between B'Ham and Wycombe
We're looking for a pub/restaurant type place to meet my parents at the weekend.
They're travelling from Amersham and we're coming down from Tamworth - The half way point is just north of banbury, near Gaydon, on the M40.
Does anyone know of a good pub that serves traditional English grub in that area?

Why not head into the Cotswolds? There are dozens of gorgeous pubs there - Stowe-on-the-Wold is teeming with them - espcailly at this time of year. Shame you asked for good English food as the very best place I know up there is The Roman Court hotel just outside Stowe on the road to Bourton. It's owned and run by an Italian family and does the best Italian grub to be found on these fair shores!
