oh dear, noticed how thick some of them were when i went over to the west coast in april.
one girl in a bar in vegas couldnt work out if we were australian or english, accent might be a bit of a clue.

Illuminating and almost frightening. It has been said that US news programmes only really tell people what is happening within 30 miles of where they live. With those kinds of answers I don't think it would make much difference if they covered world wide news properly. No wonder they elected Bush!

I find it very hard to believe that the public in the country that has elected itself worldwide police don't know what al qaeda is.
If they really are that fcukin stupid they should close their borders and stay out of world affairs. Everything would be so much easier!!!

I was once sat in a hotel room outside LA when one of the "News" channels ran a programme called, and I jest not, "Round the world in 60 seconds."
That included coverage of Boris Yeltsin having open heart surgery (Russia was still a major power at the time) and a commercial break.
Then back to detailed, blow by blow coverage of a car chase on the 405...
Says it all really.
