Default help - getting from east sussex to belfast

hi

bought a car in hailsham, east sussex. thinking of flying from belfast to london (gatwick, heathrow, luton...?) then train/bus? to hailsham (70 miles?) then drive car to holyhead and ferry over (360 miles)

is there an easier way to do this? will probably need to do this tomorrow (thurs...)

cheers

Gatwick is probably going to be the best Airport to fly into.

I found this.

The relevant section is:

Travel by Train from Gatwick Airport
Catch the train to Polegate directly from the train station at the airport. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. For more information about rail connections and departure times, check the “National Rail” website.

Once at Polegate Station...
Take a taxi from the station to the ISC. Ask the driver to take you to the East Gate of Herstmonceux Castle. The taxi fare from Polegate to the ISC is about £13.

Polegate is about 3 miles from Hailsham, so you could either take a taxi, or perhaps the seller will meet you at Polegate station?

Markus is right, fly into Gatwick and get the train to Polegate (Eastbourne/Hastings train), there is one every 30 minutes, I think. The journey time is about 45 minutes. A taxi to Hailsham should take no more than ten minutes. Can't help with the long drive back, I'm afraid
