Red face Road Rage!!

Just had a nice day on the beach at Bournemouth, had a swim, drove through the New Forest, took a picnic into Lyndhurst and watched the sun go down ...... luvverly jubberly

Well driving home, all relaxed and calm and sticking to the speed limits, as is my way Drove through Romsey and heading to Wichester .........

Then it went pear shaped ........... a car came right up to my rear bumper and sat there for a mile or so, literally inches away!! Looked like a Jaguar to me ...... anyway, they then started flashing their High Beams at me (it was dark).

I am totally confused as the car CAN overtake but chooses not too

More high beam flashes .... I'm starting to think that I have flames coming from my car or something else wrong??!! But all seemed ok??

I slow right down and the car draws alongside .... windows up .... and stays there for what seems like an age - blasting their horn at me continuously!!! It's now clear that it is a Rover 75, dark Blue/Green in colour.

Then they cut in sharply and stamp on their brakes suddenly, making me stamp on my brakes!!

I hoot my horn and flash my high beam and then the real games start .... 20MPH, then 60MPH, if I tried to overtake then they would swerve almost into me

I am now getting rather cheesed off and wave for them to pull over so we can discuss matters .... nothing, still aggressive driving!! Blocking me, indicating left and then right and them speeding up - but slowing down when realised I was drifting away!!

Then the grand finale!!!! They indicate and pull into a petrol station - I follow them to see what the issue is .... the driver jumps out of his car and, pointing a finger aggressively, comes running up to my car (nearly) - I shout out of the window, "Whats the Problem?"

He sees the size of me I guess, thats stops him in his tracks, then - amazingly - shouts that he's going to get the Police!! He then starts shouting at the poor Petrol cashier to call the Police!!??? WTF?????

Anyway, this bloke is clearly deranged ..... so I remove myself from the situation and drive off.

Can I expect a call from the Police?? Should I report it in the morning??

It was completely out of the blue ...... which I find remarkable The roads were empty (was about 10pm) in the country ....... then this car climbs in my boot and kicks off

Pete

Really?

I'm too tired for this. Tell me when and where, PSL/Isaac Hunt/whoever else the hell you are, and we'll discuss it properly.

I'm 43. So there's not too much of a difference.

If I want to get hurt that's my problem, isn't it? Your problem is that you're a tosser with no backbone. I'm absolving you of any liability should you happen to hurt me.

So, when and where?

where is Wichester? Can't find it on multimap. Or is that, heaven forbid, a spelling mistake Lewis? Is it supposed to be Winchester?

I've had exactly the same, somebody completely out of the blue sat on my bumper (not in a scoob), overtaking, light flashing, gesturing etc.

At the roundabout he jumps out, throws a punch, I dodge and counter with a haymaker and walk away, job done so I thought.

He gets my reg, filth then arrest me and I end up at magistrates.

Magistrates take one look at me, even though I'm in a suit, polite and articulate, decide I'm guilty and tell me the case is so severe it'll have to go to crown court and I'll probably get porridge.

I only got away with it due to a technicality on the paperwork side of things, my brief still cost me £2500 though and several days off work.

All that for doing nothing except defending myself.

As JJ said, if there's no witness then there's nothing they can do in a case like this as there's no damage or evidence.
