Question Any Nokia (6610) experts out there

before you start taking the pish I know it's an old phone, but it does me just fine

all of a sudden the ring tones don't sound and the text alerts aren't going off.

i have checked the volumn (on full), the profile settings (general) and have also made sure the rest of the settings are ok, but I still can't seem to sort it out.

another problem is that I can't hear anything through the headphones nor is the alarm sounding (could all of this be linked??)

your thoughts please

(and don't say buy a new phone )

Same started to happen on a Nokia 8800 I once had. As with all phones condensation can get into the phone and start corroding the elctronics. Unfortunately it may require a new PCB, which for a phone that old will mean more than buying a new phone. Try a market stall. A mate of mine manged to get a cheap second hand phone from one recently.
