National football teams kit colours ?
Was wondering this the other day - most teams play in kits that are the same colours as their national flags as their main kit - but how come Holland play in orange ? and why does orange seem to be an unofficial national colour for the Dutch even when it isnt on their flag ?
Same with Australia, who play in green and yellow ?
Anyone know if theres any particular reason, or do they just pick a colour they like at random ?

From Wikipedia:
"Many foreigners find it odd that the Netherlands national football team does not wear the colors of the Dutch flag of today, but instead plays in bright orange. Orange is the historic national color of the Netherlands and originates from the coat of arms of the Dutch founding father William of Orange-Nassau (1533?1584). The top (red) band of the current flag was originally orange. However, the current Dutch away shirt incorporates the flag colours as a diagonal stripe."
Don't know about Australia.
