Listed as private on eBay Never seen that before....

i bought a Strut brace from him and he is not replying to my emails...

When i was sent an invoice, but noticed it said ebay does not have this persons address on file...whithout reading this first i made the payment....

Has anyone purchased anything from him before?

I expect there are valid reasons, but I would wonder why somebody would want to keep their feedback hidden. I'd be concerned they are creating bogus feedback for themself from another account to give them a good score so they can rip people off, but then I'm a bit of a cynic.

I was thinking the same, however did not realise and did not really expect to win...it was only after i had realised....been two days...shall i wait or open a case with Paypal?

There are others on here with more experience of such things, however, I think you need to wait 7 days, trouble is that gives them the time to clear out their PayPal account and make it harder to get the cash back (or so it would seem in some cases).

I'd be tempted to email again today and tomorrow. Double check there is no mention on the auction of them being on holiday when the auction ends and so won't be able to respond etc. If after that you get no joy then start eBay / Paypal proceedings.

contact ebay & state you have paid for an item but the seller isn't replying to any emails & that the invoice they sent you stated that ebay had no confirmed address for this seller but you didn't realise this till after you had paid so what can you do.

You need to click on the Advanced Search Link - top right of Ebay screen.
Then you need to click on Find Contact Information.
You need to enter seller's ID and the item number you bought.
You will then get an email from Ebay with the sellers basic contact details - which should include a valid phone number.
If this number does not work - you can report seller to ebay for false contact information.
If you get the person's name and town - we have some good address databases - so pm me with the contact details and I will try to get an exact address for you.
I make my living on Ebay - and scam sellers really cheese me off!!!

Private feedback but with a 100% record could mean he buys or sells kinky stuff

I don't list my address when I sell stuff and request the buyer emails me for it. This stops the non-paying ***** out there who never had any intention of paying from automatically getting my addres.

Got it in the post today...looks like new - original STI fro MY03 cost £51

...i think it was a bargin... as the seller being a private seller put most people off from bidding...
