Well those two did enough to put me off a RR Sport, not bothered about the 'experts' but what a pair of *****, 'its about the image', anyone else think that the bloke looked like a middle aged lesbian ?

Dont know why anyone would want an off roader, all that money to buy something slower, thirstier, more unwieldy, less nimble and uglier (though the RR Sport is indeed a handsome beast, most arent) ?

It is personal choice but sometimes people need a few little pointers so they can make informed decisions, those two were never going to be happy with the estate (plus a horse for 1 kid, what did the other one get ?), in their eyes a 4 by 4 equals success, I personally dont feel the need to show off, I dont need other road users to feel jealous of my car, I would drive a Trabant if it went like the clappers, cornered well, was comfy and I enjoyed driving it.

I think the accident stats probably apply more to Shonky old Pajero's and Fronteras rather than the modern ones with road tyres, stability control and all the other electronic things fitted to make them Muppet proof, speaking as a Muppet who spun a Maverick at about 10 mph on a wet roundabout, now that was a liability.

We had a ML320 for a bit (didnt buy it, got given it) and it was poo, slow, thirsty, badly made and ugly, traded it in against a Diesel Sharan which is still Badly made and ugly but is at least economical, you see people lording it in ancient off roaders desparate for a bit of the 4 by 4 thing and its a bit sad.
