Cleaning out my garden water feature

Cleaning out my garden water feature
I've spent most of the morning doing this, just having a break, so I thought I'd share this with you.
Whilst removing stones, pump, tank etc and cleaning it all out, there were numerous slugs and woodlice under it all.
I've had a young blackbird helping me! It's fully fledged, getting it's adult feathers, but very young, and so tame it sits about 3 feet from me and waits for grubs, slugs, woodlice etc. Once when I missed one, it dived in, almost under my knees to get it.
It just sits there watching me, making little clucking noises to itself, probably warning me off it
I've heard of robins doing this sort of thing, but never a blacky.
BTW: As I came in for a drink, it was still there, along with a PAIR of robins hunting among the debris now!

I also have a few blackbirds that spend a lot of time in my back garden and are more than happy to hop about pretty close to me if im out there for any reason, I tend to put food out most days for them and get a magpie and also a pair of wood pidgeons come down among other things.

They are nest robbers, they'll take EVERY yukker out of a nest if they find one! Horrid things. Mr Webley comes into play if I see one!

Am I right in thinking Mr Blackbirds are black and Mrs Blackbirds are brown?
I could be wrong? Its a long time since I did any twitching other than net curtains.
