Like the whole bit about his "private road" to try and keep the holier than thou crowd at bay.

That must have been such a buzz when he noticed it was Button. Lucky man. Good on Jenson for playing.

Quality story

No doubt the author would have been flamed if he'd been driving a scooby and posted "I raced an NSX last night" in General Forum

"so im tailing it, and i pass it cos of traffic, (obviously this is the point he took the photo, the 2nd photo with the big *** house in the background) (yup, traffic on my private land) i get a glance, and thought, hmm, he looks familiar, he passes me cos of traffic, and now im sure i deff know him. so now im trying to pull up next to him. by now, partial throttle isnt an option. he floors it off the (drag) lights, i chase, stick with him upto end of 4th. cant get side by side with him. too busy (on my own land!!!!)

No, following the story the photo of Button himself was taken on the road but the photo of just the NSX when we didnt know the driver was taken before the race....

It clearly says he overtook the NSX whilst in traffic on his own land. thats the only place he was infront of the NSX to get the first photo of the car.

Flightman u cant see it because .......

Sorry all - need to consider the content of the post - we do not condone that behaviour on here.

It is also spreading all over the place and I'd rather no one ended up with a bad rep because of it

Cheers for understanding

Heres the story, already copied and pasted it earlier for a mate on email, got a copy of the pictures too I'll post in a mo

friday afternoon.... finished work......50 mile hike home down the
m40-a40 and through london. (plus a private stretch of road)

same crappy drive, different day. but today would prove to be different

got to about hanger lane/park royal on the a40. and onto my private
stretch of road, im poodling along, and an nsx flys by. being a honda
owner, i thought i'd follow it and just admire it.

now i've just finsihed fitting a turbo to my DD.
pretty rapid, and its got an open downpipe as i aint fabbed up a exhaust
for it yet.

so trying to follow an nsx without being noticed is kinda hard.

heres the nsx

so im tailing it, and i pass it cos of traffic,(yup, traffic on my
private land) i get a glance, and thought, hmm, he looks familiar, he
passes me cos of traffic, and now im sure i deff know him. so now im
trying to pull up next to him. by now, partial throttle isnt an option.
he floors it off the (drag) lights, i chase, stick with him upto end of
4th. cant get side by side with him. too busy (on my own land!!!!)

get to an open stretch, both gone for it, still on his ***, cant shake
me. i back off as were approaching 3 figure marks and to the end of my
private road. i start braking, but he aint, even my anticipated point of
braking had i been going all out, he still aint braking, boy does he
brake late!!!!!!

we both slow and we roll off my private land, and back onto the traffic
ridden streets of london. by this point, i stil aint pulled up next to
him to have a chat. suprisingly/luckily, he pulls off the same exit as
me.

onto the slip road, and i finally get to pull up next to him.

we roll down our windows, and he gives me the thumbs up, u wont believe
who it was...........................................

you wont believe it even wen u see it............................

yup.............. the man himself!!!!!!!!!!!!

JENSEN BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

boy was i in shock wen i saw him in the drivers seat.
talk about being the luckiest sod on the planet, getting to race the
UK's elite/best. most people only get to meet him/autograph. try goin
wheel to wheel with him, it feels good!!!

i think its a sign, i am an elite

we spoke briefly for about a minute, he was shocked how quick my car
was, asked me wat i done, and i told him, blah blah blah, that made my
weekend.

so that was my claim to fame, hope u all enjoyed it. and hopefully next
time i see schumy in a enzo when im boosting around 25 pounds

"the UK's Elite"

He hasn't won anything yet, not even a race.

Thats Chris Martin from Coldplay, or is it my friend Sir Steele of Omega North? Those 3 all look alike and I've never seen the three of them in the same room at the same time before
Cooking up some boooolsheet story about racing him on a private road is quite sad, when in reality the odds are he just happened to glance over at the lights and ask him for a photo Still he can dream and we can enjoy the fiction
I certainly wont be sending this onto anyone though for fear they will think I believe any of the story that occurs before the "here's a photo I took of JB" bit

Yep, Friday afternoon through London rush hour traffic, bet that was a fast (all of 2mph) "race"
Oh forgot, he has covered himself by saying it was on HIS "private land" my ***.

Agreed, he got a picture of JB in traffic then made up the story of racing him through London. Saddo

Thumbs down

You'd think "an elite" would be able to spell and use punctuation properly.

Who was talking about F1? hes won alot more in Motor Racing that you ever will so I dont see why your bashing him? hes got to be one of Britains elite if hes racing F1, just because hes not actually the best means nothing. PLus its hard to win things in F1 when that cheat of a German is still racing

Indeed! Also especially difficult when there's also 1 brazillian, a columbian, a fin, and italian and a spaniard racing too.

I reckon it would be a simple matter for one of us to fabricate a ludicrously tall story that would top that easily.

LOL exactly. Fraid JB just aint good enough. What is it now, well over 100 races & he hasn't really come close to winning.

MS has won more world titles, more races, more points & more pole positions than any other driver, did he cheat to get all that....hardly.
His / Ferrari stuff just gets remembered because he is the best driver & people want to knock him.

McLaren swapping driver positions (with the consent of the drivers) / Honda fielding lighter cars 2 years ago then trying to claim they mis-read the rules in a blatent act of cheating, soon gets forgotten.

I can imagine the stretch of road he is talking about, sounds like the A40 from the section above Paddington, which when clear can be "high speed".

Don't see the need to slate the author or Button, myself..........
