Angry Just sold my n70 on ebay....what to do? *UPDATE*

The auction finished for it last night, it fetched 137 but to someone with no feedback who wants me to post it to Nigeria I specified in the auction that peope with feedback less than 5 were not to bid and I also said I would not post abroad.

Where do I stand? I am obviously not going to get paid, do I contact ebay straight away?

What a pain as honest buyer were bidding 125 on it

chop

UPDATE

Relisted on second chance and sold immediately for 120 which i'm delighted with.

Have had payment through paypal, he has 72 feedback but not bought/sold anything for 6 months.his user ID matches with his name/billing address.

I have withdrawn fund from Paypal...this sound ok & cushty to regular ebayers?

Cheers

Chop

You can just cancel the highest bid or make a second chance offer to the other bidder. Since the "winner" has not complied with your instructions there shouldn't be any problem with eBay if they make a complaint.

Sell it to the honest buyer as second chance offer. You can cancel bids and if you clearly stated that you would not send it abroad then don't.

How does the Ebay account registration process even allow an address like that to be entered??

Don't understand the problem. They send you the money. When you have it send the phone. Don't send the phone until you have the money cleared in your account. On that basis you can send the phone anywhere

As long as you are paid cash I'd agree, but through paypal there is a good chance the payment will be made via a stolen credit card and sometime in the future you'll suddenly find your account debited.

The trick is they pay be western union.

It does appear in your bank making you think it has cleared.

Something dodgy happens and the money is then taken back out of your account a few weeks later! Something to do with clearing from international banking.

I feel sorry for the honest John's who happen to live in Nigeria. I bet they wonder why they never receive their eBay goods.

Same thing happened to me - the winner was a Dutch women and she wanted me to send it to her husband in Nigeria. When I complained to ebay about her, someone had already done it before me and she'd been vaped.
