Default 'Bullet Camera' setups

I'm off to the alps for the annual 'try not to die' on the bike at the end of the month and this year promised myself a bullet cam setup.

I'm familiar with the range of AV-in options like RF concepts but worried about recording to Mini DV or DVD, and none of the solid state cams have a/v in.

So I was considering this:

http://www.samsung.com/uk/products/c...p_x220lxeu.asp

Seems to tick all the boxes, but I'm worried about the quality of the bullet cam compared with something like the RF Concepts models.

Anyone used it?

thanks
Ed

As an alternative you could try this chap for some advise, http://www.fastfilms.co.uk/,his name is Dave & thou I have not used him I know of people who are more than happy with his advice. I got my set from RF Concepts, kit 3 or 4 iirc, and the service from them was excellent btw.

Thanks, tempted to try out this samsung setup as the size / rubber finish / solid state format appeals. Then if it's crap, take it back.

Had you considered using an Archos to record to? They make my Mini-DV camera with video-in look cumbersome.

Ed, if you want to borrow my bullet cam / archos setup you'd be very welcome matey. That is once I've recovered it from John Felstead, who currently has it installed on some historic bloody mclaren or something

The results are pretty good tbh.

Another one here who has an RF Concepts bullet cam, I only ordered the pack 4 PAL setup (480 lines) but when it arrived and I opened it up it said free upgrade. and they sent me the pack 5 (520 lines) kit.
All I need now is a camera with DV in
So not tried it out yet.
