snooper indago satnav
Hi all
looking at buying a sat nav system, and like the look of the Indago system, but before i buy thought i would put a post up here to get a opinion, are they good, bad, ok.
if they are not brilliant systems any advice on what to get (other than a map LOL).

i have found the indago really easy to use. the voice instructions are a lot easier to understand and make more sence that the Road Angel i swapped it for. if you take the car off route the snooper picks you up very quickly and re-directs. the satelite locating is almost instant. the RA took 10 minutes plus sometimes. it picks up all the camersa and tells you on screen what type as well....so far so good

just found this review on amazon, but never know with amazon, any opinion on any of the faults in the following review
Normally, reviews list the good points followed by the bad points. I'll go about this the other way round.
I'm familiar with Tomtom navigation so that's what I'm comparing the Indago with.
1. Why does the unit have to be so heavy and thick?
2. Why do I have to hold the ON button down for so long to power up the Indago?
3. Why is the display such poor resolution? Street and town names are unreadable.
4. Why is it so slow to recalculate when I turn off the designated route?
5. Why is there no choice of voice?
6. Why is there only an ABC keyboard? QWERTY is so much easier to use.
7. Why is its routing so poor? From my home to the cinema via shortest route is 6.7 miles by Tomtom and 11.2 miles by Indago!
8. Why is it so expensive? The Tomtom ONE is better in every way that matters for well under half the price!
9. Why do I have to pay £4.95 a month for the speed camera database, when the one for Tomtom is free?
10. There are some good points, but do they matter?

1. the unit is very slim and is not heavy, just heavier than some units
2. i hold the 'on' for 1-2 seconds
3. the screen is very clear and names are very readable
4. it recalculates very fast, faster than the RA
5. i have changed my voice from femal to male
6. the keyboard is as easy to use as a querty, has numbers as well
7. the default mode is set to quickest route, and can be changed
8. the price hopefully reflects the product
9. pass
