A bit different in that you initially download a .torrent file. This file tells your bit torrent client (need one of these as well, e.g. ABC, Azerus, etc.) where to find the tracker. The tracker is a small bit of code running on a server somewhere that directs your client to all the people who are sharing the file on their PC. Once connected you'll start downloading, and once you have enough of it, uploading the file.
The file itself will be compressed video (wmv, DiVx, avi etc.) or mp3, zip etc. according to what you're downloading.

1) Download and install VLC (Video Lan Client)
2) Download and install the Bit Torrent client software.
3) Go over to Final Gear and find the episode I wish to watch, scroll to the "links" section and there will be a "Go get a torrent for this episode" link, click on it. It will take you to a page on mininova.org. You'll see there is an underlined item called something like Top Gear - 08x02 - 2006.05.14.avi.torrent click on that. You can either save that link to disk and then manually open it in bit torrent, or, I think, you should be able to say "open with" and select "bit torrent", which should open the link and then the download should start.
4) Wait while the torrent downloads, and once it has, seed it to help others download it
5) Open up VLC and open the .avi file that was downloaded by Bit Torrent.
6) Enjoy the show
You might not need VLC, as Windows Media Player may well be able to open the file, but I'm on a Mac and needed VLC to view it.
