Works both ways though. I hired a van a few weeks back, driving through Nottingham I stopped in a queue waiting at some traffic lights. There were two lanes which merged from the right into one just past the junction. The inside lane made better progress across the junction and on reaching the merge, the car who had been next to me at the lights had dropped back behind the drivers door on the van. I continued onto the single lane whereupon I got a whole load of abuse. Obviously the guy felt I should have slowed down and let him overtake

Do bicycles count? Round our way they quite often have club "races". So you come round the corner of a country lane and suddenly see 100 fat ***** twenty abreast doing 20 mph. Gawd help you if you try to overtake unless given a signal by bike marshall or whatever. It'll be tin tacks one day
