Question Google Earth

Question: on the laptop, the resolution isn't as good as our main PC. Why would that be?

Anyone know how to fix it?

Do you mean you can't zoom in as close? I don't a problem on my laptop. But the screen resolution of my laptop doesn't come close to what my LCD monitor will achieve on my main PC, but then the video card in my main PC is a consideraly higher spec.

OK, it could be the graphics card. Laptop is newer..... It's just not as good quality when you zoom in close.

Sure but unless it's a pretty flash laptop, most of the video cards don't support very high resolution, as apart from anything else then LCD on a laptop is pretty small. Have you tried hooking the laptop up to use your desktop VDU, you usually get a better output out of the video card that way?

Make sure your laptop graphics are set to True Colour, GE looks ropey with anything lower.

Clearing the disk and memory caches (Tools/Options/Cache) may help.
