Question Cancelling a order for a car

Hello this is my first post.

I am after some advise please

In October of last year I ordered a Focus ST from Buymynewcar.com

a ST3 (leather recaros ect)
with dual climate in white with side stripes
for £16800 (£3k saving....)

I signed a order form and faxed it back to them

They requested a £500 deposit which I gave them my credit card number for

They have yet to take the deposit from my card.

At the time of ordering they told me they thought it would take 10-12 weeks this is obviously way way over due however I think they are very honest and simply cannot get them from Ford

I want to cancel now as I have ordered a New Golf GTI delivered next week (2k discount 7 day delivery !!!)

What shall I do

Can I cancel my credit card and let them chase me for it ??

They say the only way I can cancel is if the price goes up by more than £300
it says nothing about delivery delays in the contract

Please help

Rich

You have the right to walk away - write a letter of conformation RECORDED DELIVERY. Also call them and let them know. You won't loose your deposit, all this based on false lead times.

The other option is offer it around to peeps.

Do distance selling regulations apply to cars?
