Anyone got the Alien Quadrilogy DVD head set?
Only ask becuase its Bday soon and quite fancy this.
What I want to know is if anyone here has it, does the version of Alien 3 include all the pre-edit stuff where the capture the alien and Paul Mcgann lets it out?
In the theatre release, this whole section is cut out - in one shot the blast doors where they trap it are closed (its in there but they don't say anything) and the next shot the doors are open (its been let out). None of this is mentioned in the OE version.

I have the 8 DVD box set. Each "episode" comes in multiple versions, directors cut, original theatrical etc.
Couldn't say for sure, but I think you should be OK.

Cheers. This is the thing though, Alien 3 never had a directors cut. Only reason I've seen the capture sequence is because the sister of a boy I was in school with was seeing a guy who was working on the film and he somehow gave the boy a pre-edited version (we were Alien mad for a couple of years - got comics and graphic novels in a big box!)
Also, I know in Aliens, Ripley finds Burke towards the end when she looks for Newt. She hands him a grenade which appears as just an explosion in the background in the theatre version. I heard it was included on the LaserDisc version but nowhere else (if at all).
