I need to put some form a electric release on a upvc door. On the inside there is no frame showing to surface mount a maglock. I did think about a Flush mount solenoid bolt in the head of the door but i was concerened that if the unit failed the bolt may just drop into the door and we would be unable to open it. I wondered if anyone else had any suggestions on what i may use.

Without seeing the door but will a flush mounted mag lock do the job.
