Zebra Plec - Odd Behaviour??
Hi fish tank peeps, We've had a Zebra Plec, "Rio", for about 3 years now, happily living quietly under his log and not exactly doing a lot! A few days ago we got rid of our cichlids as they were becoming too aggressive and suddenly Rio is out and about. But one odd thing is that he swims to top of tank, fixes himself to side of tank and slowly slides down before going to top again. This seems very strange and I wonder if anyone has any thoughts?? The cichlid business may be a coincidence of course. Thanks, David

Maybe he feels free now there arent any chiclids about and is enjoying the space and being able to "Suck glass" without getting attacked. I know chiclids are evil buggers I only have one fish left in my tank now and we call him big blue. We gave up putting more fish with him because he either ate them or bullyed them.

Agreed cichlids should be given the fishy equivalent of an ASBO
Yes he might just being enjoying life but I would be reassured if someone knows this is natural behaviour. Thanks, Supra
