Saw a video once of the US National Rifle association at one of their meets in the desert, one guy took one of these http://www.olive-drab.com/od_other_f..._m2_quad50.php
and they were just shooting at things in the empty desert.
What makes me wonder, and i'm sure a lot of you will, is if these weapons are in the hands of the general public why is there so much gun crime?
I certainly wouldn't try and break into someone's house to nick their car keys if they had one of these at the top of the stairs, would you?
It just seems to build a tolerance towards guns, like they are normal things. How many of you have had a good stare at the armed copper in the airport with his H&K MP5 without realising it. Over in the US every copper had one of these in their car!
This is one thing Britain has got right IMHO, apart from the fact that instead of banning pefectly legal weapons like some kinds of air rifle, they should be concentrating more on getting unlicensed weapons out of circulation. Over 95% of gun crime in the UK is committed with unlicensed weapons, so it is obvious to me where they should be concentrating!!!
