If Nu Labour were a business they would be BAT.
- After years of misrepresenting themselves they have been seen for their true colours as a product that damages the consumer.

They would be one of those street sellers with no license that says "looky looky" and would be continually moved on by the police.

Rather than as businesses, I think I tend to consider political parties more as "families".
In the Italian sense of that word.
As a Sicilian friend once told me "Family, that is the most important thing and one looks after the members of one's own family".

Going by recent events, I think they are virtually bankrupt already, or they will be when the IMF refuses any more loans to keep the country afloat.
What a way to run a country!

The problem with politics is it's cyclic and bloody hard to get out of the mess. Party 1 spends loads of money to try and provide great services etc but fails to manage it and runs up huge debt. Party 2 gets in, can't borrow any money and so has to make massive cuts to get the books back in order, people complain about lack of investment in services, kick party 2 out who then pi$$ billions up the wall to make up for the past years of under investment due to the over spend prior to that.
And breath....
I wonder how much longer the IMF will keep lending the UK money. When they stopped last time we had the winter of discontent, I'm not seeing an exit plan from GB that convinces me he can pay off the debt he has incurred and keep up with his spending levels, not without massive tax increases.
