Strange question as I'm half singaporean and i have a large number of family there, but i haven't been since '91 and i've never 'lived' there. I'm looking to do at least a year over there to get out of london for a while.

what's it actually like day to day living there? dental/medical system? tax rates? is renting a condo easy? these sorts of things.

I think my income level would be around S$7-10K a month gross. My gf would be working too and with similar experience a similar income level, slightly less not having derivatives knowledge (still front office though).

I don't really want to rely on my family over there too much.

any advice welcomed.
