Popes Easter Message

Popes Easter Message
Saw a review of this on the news tonight. Now I grant you that I have not seen a filmed transcript or excerpts from his speech; however let's give the BBC the benefit of the doubt on this one else I can't post up on this.
Anyroad it is alleged that Pope Benedict the umpteenth will go on about the evils of the world, to wit:
- Abortion.
- Cloning.
- Stem Cell Research.
I do have a thing about others imposing their lifestyle views on us and this case is no exception. However what made me smile as I watched the news report earlier this evening was the wry remark by the medical professor that had been put up to rebuff Pope Umpteenth's rant.
The Professor, responding to a leading question by the interviewer said, semi soto voce, and summarised: "Pope Benedict can make a major contribution to his cause and prove to his flock the immorality of modern medicine/science by stopping his heart tablets right now...".
I near choked on my beer! Class, incisive comment. Wondered what the Pope feels about all the research that went into producing those tablets that he depends on/takes for granted. A selective view of the world by him, perhaps?
Religion: who needs it?

There is no God.
I asked him to smite me several times and Im still standing here.
The last pope is partially to blame for the AIDs pandemic in Africa. Religion root of all evil.

Instead of spouting of about the moral value of medical science why doesn't he get his house in order and stop his Priests from abusing children?! Now I definitely see a need for medical science in that space - its called castration!

The code of practice for life is nothing but common sense."Don't hurt others because, you wont like it if you were hurt by others".It is as simple as that.
I sometimes find myself leaning on God.Don't ask me why.Must be my upbringing.
I don't care what pope says.Hypocricy in so offputting!
I admire Jesus on cross. What a remarkable image of sacrifice!

I dont hurt others because Im not a evil ******* who gets thrills from it. I love to see people happy. When I was a kid and people used to say its better to give than to recieve, i could never understand why. I was like **** that I like getting loads of presents. But now I love giving them and seeing peoples face light up with enjoyment or happiness. It makes me happy.
If jesus was to appear magically infront of me one day id probably whip his *** for letting all the helpless kiddies die in the world.
