Another fine example of rip off britain
Bought myself a small MP3 player last month in the states...little 2GB sandisk thing. Wasnt too expensive and was working well...
For reasons unknown it crapped out and froze- contacted US tech support and they said to send it to the uk distributors for replacement.
Did that, and all credit to the uk guys, they sent me a brand new boxed replacement in the same colour within a couple of days.
They are almost identical.... and here is the problem.
The US model I had (before it froze), had a rather useful FM radio built in.
The supposedly identical UK replacement I now have DOESNT have an FM radio???? Same model number- everything else is absolutely identical- except the UK one doesnt mention any radio in the instructions or on the box or menu, whereas the US one does.
Am a little hacked off TBH as it was a useful feature. Its the latest software version (1.5)- have just tried installing the US upgrade software on their US website and it says that the download is an older version (1.2) and 'downgrading is not permitted', so its clearly a brand new one.
Why on earth drop something like that from the UK model??? Rip off britain again
