New build houses
I was away looking at some new showhomes in my area, various builders.
To be honest i really liked a couple & might take the plunge so to speak.
So the question i have is ???
Are the girls that work there on commission to sell plots / houses & if so what do they get ?
Reason i am asking is because one of them was pushing me really hard to reserve a particular house today.
Just being nosey but also thinking about how i can get some freebies thrown in
Thanks

Yes they will be on commission - now you know that - push for a hard deal.
I bought a new build, and had all carpets and white goods supplied free of charge..

I find you can only get real good deals on the houses that have been built but remained unsold.
I'd say they cost a good 10% more than a "used" house too.

The house i have at the moment was a new build but i got a good deal on this, so didnt push for anything

If you are going to buy, make sure they fit all the switches, sockets, toilets, sinks, radiators and cupboards STRAIGHT. I have had 2 houses less than 10 yrs old and the quality of the finishing was attrocious, but you only notice these things after you move in....
