Need some advice about improving the sound of my Sony LCD TV.
Does anyone know of a speaker set-up that only includes front speakers, and NOT rear. My room does not really lend itself to rear speakers, and I am sure that there are some set-ups that use small front speakers as a comprimise.....
Cheers!

You can of course just use stereo sound, but I think what you are really after is pseudo surround, or surround effect. Many DVD's have a Dolby Surround 2.0 track which will use stereo to try and create a surround effect, but it isn't very good. Pseudo surround systems like THIS SONY ONE use just 2 speakers (+ SUB) with multiple directed mid/high range speakers which are targeted to fire off walls to try and create a surround effect. I've never heard one, but if you really must compromise then maybe something like this is your best bet. Many proper 5 speaker systems LIKE THESE use very small surround speakers which are very unobtrusive though, and these will always give a better effect than a pseudo set-up. Personally I like my 7.1 system, with big speakers all 'round the room

Thanks for the ideas.
Really like the Bose, but too expensive really (worth it I am sure!). £1000....
After something similar, only cheaper!
