TV in a Car
Should you have a TV licence when you have a TV built into the car?
Silly question but it's something i just thought of
I Guess the answer's no, what's the difference?
Got a TV that's been used and no TV licence for it.

i looked at this a while back (think there was a thread on here asking the same question and i was curious). from memory, it's not clearly defined on the tv licensing web site under the faq section, but the "caravan" section would probably apply - ie covered by your home licence. strictly speaking i don't think you can use the home and the car tv at the same time if they're used under the same licence, but i expect that would be very hard to apply in practice

So in my other houses i could set the TVs up to batteries on a constant charger off the mains.
Or wire them to a wind propelled dynamo.
All jokes a side, i think you've answered my question, you top banana you! !
and there's me thinking i was going to get slated for asking.

If you watch or record TV programmes in a second home which is a touring caravan or vehicle, or a boat, you do not need a separate TV Licence; you will be covered by the TV Licence for your main residence
