Dye'ing bed linen

Dye'ing bed linen
Guys,
Last summer I left some bed linen out drying on the line too long in the sun and some of the colour has bleached out quite badly in patches. As the sheets/pillow cases and duvet cover are all just one colour with no pattern are there any products like some sort of colour restorer I can use on them in the washing machine to 'loosen' the colour that is left in them and even out the colour to get rid of the patchiness?
Alternatively how easy is it to dye them again the same colour? They're Jonelle sets from John Lewis...
Thanks,
Simon

First make sure they are predominantly made from cotton. You can get away with a small amount of polyester mix.
You can't re-distribute the current colour.
Buy the necessary number of packs of Dylon Machine dye from either a good hardware store or maybe John Lewis. You'll need a couple of Kg of table type salt too.
Follow instructions .
Good luck.

Thanks Yve,
Just checked and they're 100% cotton so that's good...
I've checked on the Dylon website now and reckon I've found a good match, so I'll give that a go.
Thanks.

Just an afterthought.
If they have already faded, you may be best going for a strongish colour. A pale colour will probably still show the fading.
The machine dyes are sooooooooo easy to use. Just lob the lot into the washing machine and bingo !
Let us know how you went on.
Cheers Yve
