I think I remember seeing them somewhere for around a fiver. And yes, football is an art, I argued as such in a General Studies lesson (sadly the right sort of question didn't appear on the exam)

People who dont like football are the homosexualisers. How many gay football fans do you know.

May I ask what sport replaces football for you?

None. All sport is unutterably ghey. It's where men admire other, generally sweaty, muscly men.

Gay, unto the fifth generation and the nth degree.

What a well thought out and balanced view - have you considered public speaking or your own blog as it seems a shame that only SN'ers are privvy to your thoughts and musings

This thread's a far cry from small boys in the park, jumpers for goalposts. Isn't it? Mmmmm. Marvellous.

Ebay, think you can buy them for something like £50 for a box of 500 then get a car boot set up during the world cup and flog them off at £1 each, healthy profit there to be made. I would but I'll be in Germany for it

Football is emotion and passion driven, rather than relying on logical thought. HTH HtH

Ha ha ha ha - obviously someone who doesn't really understand football here... I believe that Chelsea are STILL at the top of the table by quite a considerable margin, so let me point out - that's a GOOD thing... You're thinking of golf where the lowest score wins.

I must admit that I am no football fan but I do watch it on TV occasionally. Most matches are pretty boring but I would like to say that teh Match on monday between MCFC and West ham was really good, non stop from start to finish, and that MC goal by that non ethnic Englishman was stunning.

Anyway, Reading (Redding) only need one more win to secure their place in the Premiership, so there. .

I don't like footy but i can't say it's gay either. The attention it gets, the money footballers get and hooliganism that goes with it-i just can't justify it.
Vigour and competitiveness is always admired by males(and some women). Most men liking football is ok.Some not liking is ok too.

Fluttering English flags on car tops and scarves on the back windows seem just a sign of hooliganism.Another thing that is behind it is that, British are less bolder to express their sentiment. When they do,it looks like an exaggeration. Moreover, they get aggressive about it rather than keeping it as fun and thus, hooliganism and violence sadly replaces fun and patriotism.

So really, football is football<shrugs>.A few men together going nuts about kicking a ball around and thousands cheering them up.Must be fun for some!

Quite, often the kids get the parents to put them in, does that make them hooligans?

About time people stopped associating the Cross of St George with thuggery the BNP and racism, whilst some leftie pc ***** are happy for this to go on it should not.

Good to see so many about during the last footie world cup and hardly a racist thug in sight!

Their loss i guess.
