If you read my post properly,it says "it's just a sign of hooliganism".Sign does not mean they definitely are hooligans. It is a sign of patriotism and loyalty to their favourite teams but due to the passions going wild, one bears that kind of image on one's mind.

May I also add that the flags for your car phemomena is just a typical English thing to do I wager you won't be seeing Scottish, Welsh, Northern and Southern Irish flags this summer.

I have talked to many hooligans. That's the way they have expressed their behaviour.
Now,I would like to say that I am not calling football lovers gay or anything.Neither am I on about any pointless debate. It's a free country.Do what you want!Have a flag on your car top or even two, man! Stick a football on the roof top,if you want!
Take it easy.

No I agreed with 95% of your original post but I had to question where you get the link of the Georges Cross being related to Hooliganism, maybe to a select few but to the majority it is just a sign of our country Too many people in this day and age are taking offence to seeing us brand our national flag around when it shouldnt be the case

No but you should come here when Italy, Germany, Turkey etc play they drive round in convoys beeping horns and waving flags out the sunroof, those pissy little chav flags as you call them would get laughed out of town in comaprison to the size of the flags waved here.

Hear, hear.

I prefer the Welsh flag myself though.

*let me hasten to add 'I do not have a flag on my car and never will'.

I am often amazed by the number of people you can squeeze through a Fiat Panda sunroof whilst its driving along Those crazy Italian supporters!
