Ideal Standard, what a bunch of .............
.............w@nkers!
This is the second time they've done this to me.
Twenty years ago the wife fell for a colour called Whisper Apricot, for the bathroom. I actually RANG Ideal, to check if it was likely to be deleted, and was assured not. Two years later, it's gone
So when the bath got a crack, we replaced with a Marmara corner bath from them, complete with front panel, in Whisper Cream, a close, but not perfect match.
Now the panel has a crack, and Whisper Cream? Deleted
I rang them and asked them whether they didn't think they had a responsibility to customers to keep stock of deleted items/colours for matching purposes. They just said no.
And guess what? They didn't just delete it, they phased it out without telling anyone, so all the usual places that buy up deleted stock to sell to people in my position, have got nowt!
Ideal Standard.........Customer care second to everyone. AVOID!

It's looking increasingly as if I'll end up building a framework, cladding it in marine ply, and tiling onto it, a bit like if the bath was inset.
Lots of work for something I ought to be able to replace in 10 minutes
British companies eh? No wonder so many of 'em go to the wall
