Not new I know , I was vaguely aware of this, decided to put it to the test on a game I downloaded, it had some music on it that I kind of recognised, googled for a music identification site via mobile, Shazam came up, dialed the number, held the phone next to the speaker for 30 seconds.

I then get a text message about 5 seconds later saying Shazam tagged Lietenant Pigeon 'Mouldy Old Dough'

Amazing, hadnt every heard of it but everyone I know over 30 had !

Gobsmacked !

Ive used shazam 3 or 4 times and its been spot on, in the car + in a club.

I think its a great idea and is very useful on all sorts of music if you get stuck wondering what it is.
