Question

I'll admit it. I'm a racing game junkie.

Been surviving on GT2 on a PS1, but looking to upgrade. Birthday coming soon and it seems like a good excuse

I've been reading all the posts on the gamecube and xbox vs PS2 and been looking around the web and the shops.

Given that I will be mostly playing driving games, Can I have your opinions and comments on which is the best machine for the job?

Ultimately its the gameplay that matters and I'm not really into platform/arcade/adventure games.

Help & comments will be appreciated.

Cheers

D

GT3 is a must, not seen any racing games on Xbox, and given it's not out until March over here and is £100 more than PS2, + great driving games coming out for PS2 include World Rally, Colin Macrae, Sega's Ferrari one & 2 F1 games out now, + others like Spyhunter, Burn Out, Grand Theft Auto 3 etc!

Maybe try and get a go on some games on the PS2 now and see what you think?

cheers,

greg

I've played all the racers on Dreamcast
Same on PS2
Seen whats coming on X-Box
Seen whats coming on GameCube

Right now PS2 wins the battle:
GT3, LeMans24hrs, Tokyo Highway Battle, Burnout (shortly), Gran Theft Auto III (looks sweet), F1 2001 (Sony), WRC

Check out www.xbox.com for a list of the racing and other games. Also listed are their release dates.
