Car ideas,help required from you!
My wife's looking to replace her CRV with something smaller and cheaper. The CRV is worth around 10k, and she wants to spend no more than 6k, so banking at least 4k. She's got her heart set on a Focus Est, but I just can't see past the badge, I know I know. I'd go for a 1.8TDCi Focus, but dont think you can get them for 6k, unless the miles are stratospheric.
So i'm attempting a last gasp blocking tactic by employing the wise heads on here!
The car must fulfill the following criteria, hers not mine:
Be safe, EURO NCAP 4 or better.
Be reliable.
Economical, 40+mpg
Not have more than 60k on the clock
Low insurance no higher than 7
Be under 5 years old
Cost no more than 6k.
Be able to carry 2 adults + young kids (ages 2 and 6) in comfort.
Have decent boot for trips away, 2+ suitcases an small bags.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Flightman.
