Cheapest way to repair door mirror
Had a minor off in the snow around xmas time in our run about which is a 1999 Fiesta Zetec 1.25 which resulted in knackering the passenger wing mirror. It's beyond repair as the casing has cracked and and the mechanism itself no longer works as the springed cables have spewed out.
Luckily its just a manual one and not electric so just going to replace the part. Is it more likely to be cheaper to buy the mirror primed from a motor factors / ebay (approx 20 quid) and have a local bodyshop spray it or are ford likely to be competitive with a direct coloured replacement?
Local dealer's parts department has shut for the weekend now so thought I'd see if anyone has a general idea.
Thanks
David

or a quick search on ebay should turn up something at a reasonable price; I just bought a replacement set off Ebay for my WRX for about twenty eight quid - I think the company was somewhere in devon.
