Daffs. and Glocal Warming ...
Funny isn't it? We get a mild winter and out come the daffs. and the media/government harp on about spring arriving weeks earlier than in your gandmas day so this is absolute proof that man made global warming (note MAN MADE!!) is happening and we should all pay through the nose to srtop it ...
This year I have NO daffs. out so far, even in the gardens 'sunny' corner. So do the same organisations come to the conclusion that we may be entering a new ice age?? Just thought it was funny .....

PS: one other comment. The total *price* of Kyoto, which may or may not deliver a 0.2 deg. C diff. in temperature by about 2050 would provide adequate water for EVERY human on the planet. Why isn't the latter the priority? Something to do with screwing us over for more money and to get more control over our lives??

The "ice age" waffle was being banded about by the green nutters 20 years ago. When they realised that temperatures were still recovering from the last ice age they had to change their tune.

Note the graphs they are using which appear to show extreme cooling, just like the graphs being used by the same people today which appear to show extreme warming.
In saying that despite constant media bombardment it is interesting to observe that most of the general public still appear not to believe it and I know this has been of great concern for the green nutters who have been holding think tanks on how to change this. Of course they might change their PR firm but they can't change what science says and to quote Prof Lindzen, who is Prof of Meteorology at MIT:
"I must state at the outset, that, as a scientist, I can find no substantive basis for the warming scenarios being popularly described."
He also says:
"I assert that there is no substantive basis for predictions of sizeable global warming due to observed increases in minor greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons"
