It's nintendo's attempt to beat the PS2 and xbox
It's a dedicated games machine, so none of this playing dvds sh!te. Released with 2 games I believe. as the N64 was in it's day, a stunning machine - but who knows what the take up will be.
I bought my ps2 from www.cex.co.uk when it came out. I'm sure they'll have some.

Its baes on similar PowerPC processor thats used in Apple Powermacs so should offer awsome performance. I friend of mine is in charge of marketing at MS for the X Box and is worried about the nintendo from a technical stance as its meant to be very powerful.

Faster than PS2

Nintendo write best arcade software in the world (mario, zelda)
It DOES play DVD if you buy the Panasonic version.

we have an imported gamecube and its great, the graphics and playability are cool and so much better than the ps2.
its due out over here about march, but look on auction sites such as www.qxl.co.uk or www.ebay.com they usually have loads.
