I know of some cameras near me that have had no film in them for several years as they do not meet the regulations that deem where a speed camera can be placed.
Their still do their job as a deterrent tho'

They will keep them in place.. as long as you just pay your £60 and don't challenge the fine.... why should they bother....
They just drop the charges if you contest... simple as that.
