Office pranks
Ok on Friday some colleagues played a few pranks on another colleague, you know the silly but make you laugh type...
1) unplugged keyboard
2) cellotaped cuffs of coat together
3) adjusted chair so that it went down when sat on
everybody was laughing and the "victim" even found it funny and tried plotting revenge by doing the ringing and hanging up prank
Got to work today and the colleague has phoned in SICK!! Reason - because of the victimisation, weekend ruined, cant sleep, BLA BLA BLA
I would of understood if there was actual physical harm involved or if they had of said enoughs enough now

Certainly from what you've described he's completely weak and humourless.
Problem is some people don't know when to stop, could it be that others carried on and it all went over the top?

Hes part of the growing trend of workshy humourless spineless nobodys thats creeping into british society.Your better off without him in your workplace. In fact you could all chip in and get him a thank you card with "thanks for ****ing off you good for nothing workshy ****.We never liked you anyway" written inside.

Exactly! if you cant have a simple laugh on a friday then what is this world coming to!
As if life isnt hard enough, i think a bit of harmless fun is essential.
I wouldnt mind but they were even joking along throughout the day and said that salt would appear in the sugar!
I like the card ideas

When I was younger and worked in the Co-Op we took one of the lads coats, wet it through and hung it in the large meat freezer, was hilarious watching him take home his coat, stiff as a board under his arm at the end of the shift

lol im afraid im a lot higher ranking then burger king and to put it into perspective when you are in a high risk job it helps to ease the strains by having a laugh.
Computer access is restricted and i think the games will have to be focused on someone else now..........the boss

What is the world coming to? I remember as an apprentice mechanic getting much, much worse than that. What is it they say "revenge is a dish best served cold"!
Their constantly used to be pranks i.e. filling your co-workers tool box literally full of oil (obviously without the boss finding out), greasing door handles and wipers, filling paper bags with welding gas - stand well back and light etc etc.
Aah the good old days!

You should keep one of those stress shooters in a filing cabinet, my ex boss used to swear by it. I think you might have met him Saz, goes by the name of Oldfella

Just think,
your office pranks have paid for this blokes summer holiday,
next step long term sick and a claim against the company.
guess your gonna be doing the old disciplinary hearing soon

That's if he even has the sense to make a claim.

Its just victimisation and bullying and you all should be fired. Why make every one laugh at some one elses expense? No better than the school bullys we all hear about. Its not big and its not clever. Plenty of other ways of having a laugh.
Think about it ............................. you are risking your jobs, grow up and engage in adult humour ...........
