Just make sure you go into the setup menu and disable the "overide aircraft controls" and "confuse radar" settings.

If you want to watch a movie on it then buy some decent earphones.

I couldn't hear mine over the engine noise with the volume on full

You'll be able to use your mobile phone soon as well....

I'm serious by the way, company I work for is developing part of the equipment for it. There will be a GSM pico cell on the aircraft and a satellite link will provide the backhaul to the terrestrial network.

Hello

What a nightmare that will be.

I went on a British Airways flight a few years ago and they had a trial of internet access. Now that was GREAT! A little slow, but I could chat on Yahoo to my friends, get email etc... I would like that to come back.

Mobile phone reception would be a nightmare on planes.........can you imagine the poor b*stards sat back in economy (not me!) having to listen to annoying crazy frog/chart ringtones and similar for 8 hours along with 'HI SHELL/WAYNE/WAYNETTA/TRACE (*insert applicable chav name here) IM ON A PLANE'

You can already call from planes- albeit at $10 a minute!

Net access on planes however, would be a god send.
