Columbus Gov Surveillance Network...
anyone heard about this ? I was told today the government are going to launch this in about 3 months. They are going to link every cctv system up in the country to a central databse with face recognition.
What's more they want to hook up 3500 petrol forecourt camera's to it with licence plate reocgnition to map the faces to the cars - and thus the names!!

Keep going.... thats just the tip of the iceburg....
the final solution (chilling phrase) is to have a columbus chip in every electronic device produced, (read) phone, pda, car, tv, infact anything... the idea being they can then implement the next phase of the plan, full access to peoples wherabouts/ movements etc, not to mention, speed monitoring / road charging, and fines generated automatically....
The usual spin and bluster is that it will be more accurate than the current U.S. system, when in reality its just another method to watch and intrude on our lives. what next the chip inserted under the skin at birth, so all your data cannot be lost stolen / cloned.. (barcodes / numbers on the inner wrist anyone?)

(and there are being touted at the mo!!) camera,s that record your every journey, emails stored, etc...
