Default One for the fish keepers on here.

I'm looking to replace the built in Juwel filter in my tropical tank. I'm really looking for an external one that will be able to handle a tank of at least twice the volume of the current one, which is 450 litres.

Any suggestions of which one to get?

What are you keeping? If you are looking to go to marine then it is normal to go with a sump and pure bio filtration. You just need pumps to circulate then.

Also depending on the Juwel tank you have, you can upgrade the pump, we did that and it made a big difference.

It's a Vision 450. I think it's running the largest of the power heads already. I really want to get an external one to be honest, it's a lot of hassle having to remove all the top flaps off the tank and move the lighting gantries.

I'd probably stick with a tropical setup rather than marine for the time being.
