Spray tanning or tan moisturisers ?
All
I am a bit pasty and don't tan in the sun easily. Don't want to use a sunbed due to health risks, so its been suggested I try either a spray tan or self tanning moisturisers (Johnsons do one I think)
Anyone have any experience of either. I expect spray tan technology is pretty good at the moment - ie looks natural, wont rub off on clothes etc etc - but any experiences or suggestions would be helpful......sick of looking like a ghost !

Im sure if you pop into Boots and ask one of the fit girls on the make-up counter she'll be able to advice you on how best to go about getting that Kilroy look youre after
Has to be said though I look a bit too ghost-like over the winter months, and was almost taken in by the 'Johnsons Holiday Tan' adverts, but it just all seems too girly!

Tanning moisturiser! Johnsons Holiday Skin is the best going. I use it and it is a nice healthy look. I even used it for my wedding day! it gives you a bit of colour but not a full on tan. You can build it up gradually so people don't suss you out if you see them milky one day and like a bar of plain chocolate the next
Heres what to do:
Get a good body and facial exfoliator (boots botanics are great) and use it all over your body every second day for around two weeks, paying particular attention to your elbows, knees, knuckles, ankles - anywhere prone to dry skin. If you don't do this the colourant will stick to the dry patches and you will look patchy/streaky/generally mingin
Best doing this bit at night: Have a bath and and apply a modest amount of baby oil to moisturise your skin (while in the bath). Get yourself dry properly and apply the moisturiser evenly all over your body. Make sure you rub it in until your skin absorbs it all. Walk about in your pants to make sure your clothes dont wear it off. You can put them on once your skin is dry!
Get up the next morning and hey presto!
You can build it up night by night. It lasts a few days. Even if you screw it up it is easy to fix by waiting a day or two and trying again! If it is streaky you cant really notice it anyway

I never have had an experience of Spray tan coz.........
However,my friend runs a gym-combined-beauty saloon. She offers spray tans etc to people.According to her,it is quite good.It stays for a week or so and good value for money.
PS- It makes you look less orange than a sunbed would.
