car sales kinda jobs any good?
Current job is doing my nut in ATM as i've been there years, it's going nowhere in particular & aint fab £ so about time i pulled finger out *** & did sumin about it.
Now i digress i've never really known what i wanted to do or had much in the way of ambition but like i said feeling the need to do sumin about it.
never done any selling before mainly the other side of that equation in purchasing.
Anyhow in a pay off yer mortgage in 2 years still advice of stick to what you know namely cars at least them in generally if sweet FA mechanically the most obvious idea seemed to be car sales.
Any thoughts on this as a career in terms of £ & how easy it is etc etc. I am a hard worker so not worried about that just didnt no wot you folks might be able to share?

To sell cars, you don't need to know anything about them in the vast majority of cases. What you need to know how to do is offer rock bottom p/ex against top dollar sales price, garnish with a touch of overpriced HP and if you can sell a paint protection system and some mud flaps for £500 you'll be a rich man.

I've always contemplated car sales just for the enjoyment of it. I don't think there is going to be ANY money in it at the beginning.
You'll no doubt need to build a network of repeat customers and graduate through the commission grades for a few years before you could be think about making reasonable money, IMO.
If you've ever bought a new car, you'll soon realise that knowing anything about the car is irrelevant! Bought a new BMW for my mum, sales people completely inept when it came to doing an EVO style review of the car, but good at leading you a merry dance and avoiding giving you mats!

Dont do it mate I was in car sales for 10 years and its nothing like it used to be, its all politics and back stabbing idiots now. There used to be lots of money in it if you were anygood but not anymore, especailly in new cars! If you still decide to do it try and find a small family run business ( like mine )to employ you, they might treat you like a person and the hours are likely to be better

lol oh sorry i mean laughing out loud. That's not text speak that can get really bad it's called not being **** & typing with a bit of humour. Of course humour is subjective & some folks get annoyed by the simplest things especially when it's in cold black & white which is why smilies are also an important tool.

selling cars is all about the figures you can represent infront of the punter, ie the weekly payment, the figures you just read from a book, ive done hard sales cold sales main dealer sales, scrubby dodgy sec hand dealer sales, now i sell them myself lol
but seriously easy job if you have gift of gab can talk to absaloutly anyone face to face, a certain amout of bull****ting required lol
a little car market common sence is a must also
ive sold cars at 22% flat thats like 48% pmsl, ive had punters sign completely blank finance docs, as long as they know the cars there it dont matter, on the other hand ive delt with honest hard working people at got them tremendous deals so swings ound bouts
sales is a superb skill in life people skills will get you anywere, my children will be brought up into the sales world to cetain extent, self confidence gets you anywere
go for it mate, it may be hard for you at first ( i remember my first punter walking onto the forcourt lol) but after time its a fookin breeze
just to add the last hard sale place i worked at had a £150 quid a week basic but if you sold 23+ cars a month thats 5 odd a week you got a £3000 bonus
tends to go up in percentages, ie over 5 cars 10 cars such and such
