I found an ad on ebay that sounds to good to be true, Its an x5 53,plate d, sport for 8k. I looked at at the sellers other auctions and there was a merc ml 270d 53,plate for 8k. I emailed him asking if i could view the bm, He's mailed back saying he's in madrid and thats where the car is. He says the car is a uk car and comes with original invoice, log book, keys and all documents to register in your own name. The 8k includes shipping all i need to do is pay taxes to register the car. This sounds dodgy, Is there any way of checking if he and the car are genuine? Thanks for looking any advice would be helpfull.

uk car cars are cheaper in Spain, since they drive on the other side. And who knows how much registration would come to.

send him the money if you wish or even a 1000 quid deposit but you will NOT see it again

up to you, they have been pulling this one for maybe 3 years on ebay

get people on here to trace the email address i.p address etc all will be revealed

Email him and tell him that by a stroke of luck you are flying out to Madrid on Tuesday due to business. Your mate going with you wants the ML.

You can view, and pay cash.

Ask for his contact no.

He will then proceed to tell you are are crated up for transportation. He will give you all the excuses as to why you can't see the cars.

Infact, you might even get the impression they don't exist
