Video and/or DVD player wanted - NO TV!

Hi,

I'm after a video and or DVD player that is just that - a player (with screen) but NO TV. If it's just a DVD or video I'd need some forkm of connection to plug in the other one.

Tried googling but haven't hit on the right combination of words ... I know they do (or did!) exist as I've seen one many moons ago. Oh, better have a 17" screen +

Anyone know where to get one? Anyone got one they want to get rid of? Or anyone got any other ideas?

do you mean a video player, as opposed to a video recorder, and a basic dvd player..

video players these days are pretty hard to come by, given video is on its last legs...

dvd standalone players,,,, the onlyones i can say fit the bill would be any of the in car ones, some come with screens, but other,s i,m sure dont

I mean a *player* for video or DVD. I've seen them in the past where there is what looks like a small TV with built in video player - in fact it is just a player and cannot receive TV. I don't mind if it is a DVD or video player I get - as long as I can plug the other on in ...

Anyone?

PS: the car ones ara bit small.
PPS: trying to get rid of the TV completely so I can also zap the TV license.

Some PC monitors can accept a video input - connect one of these to any DVD player and you're sorted.

Go to eBay and type in "Tablet DVD".

I've seen them on eBay with screen sizes up to about 11", but was in America about 18 months ago and saw some in Circuit City and I'm pretty sure they were something like 17" widescreen. They may have been TV's too, but I'm fairly sure some were just DVD players with screens.
