Ebay - how long to wait for payment
Hello
I sold something on ebay. I didnt put a note in the payment options with a timescale for payment, so how long do I have to wait for payment before I can sell the item to another Second Chance Buyer ? Anyone know ??

If they are posting a cheque i email them straight away to confirm they are going ahead - give them 1 day to post, 3 days for it to arrive - on the 4th day i remind them.....on the 7th i say pay or it goes to the next in line.

(if they are the only bidder i go easy on them )

Hi Dave,
When i buy on Ebay , which ive done 4 times this month , I paypal the seller immediately as its just something id like in reverse when I sell.
when Selling I send them an email as soon after the close telling them the amount and how to pay options, giving them a timelimit.
Basically upfront and fair. I've not had to many bad experiences, except for 1 Nigerian after the motorbike

Its basically a TV that i did for collection only. The bloke lives in Leeds so either he didnt read it or he has a way, but he still hasnt responded to the invoice or to the message i sent him asking when he is going to collect.
Will give him 7 days and if nothing offer to one of the other second chancers...

I wouldnt wait that long.
If you have a second person in line i would email them and see if they want a 2nd chance at it- if they do give your buyer 24 hrs.
If you win a sale and dont communicate with the seller within 24hrs then you are dumb and deserve to loose it!
